Taiwan’s politics do not exist in isolation but are deeply intertwined with the international order. Parliamentary dynamics, institutional reforms, and social movements may appear domestic in scope, yet they respond to external pressures and global expectations. The ability to balance efficiency and accountability in democratic governance, while preserving institutional resilience in a turbulent international environment, will shape Taiwan’s capacity to sustain influence on the world stage.
